Story/Picture source: Notes on the Folklore of the Fjort by Richard Edward Dennett (1898).
- Nenpetro has 2 wives and each had 2 daughters
- They were rich
- The parents will give the daughters to whichever man can guess their names
- Their names are Lunga and Lenga
- They grew up to be beautiful
- An antelope gave the parents a gift and asked for the daughters in marriage
- The parents said no because the antelope must know their names
- The antelope wonders how he can find out their names
- Nsassi (a prince) asked the dad for the daughters but dad said no
- Nsassi asks for their names but dad wont tell him
- Nsassi’s dog was with him and felt bad watching him get turned down
- Nsassi was so sad because he wanted the beautiful daughters
- The dad calls for his daughters by their names and the dog hears
- He sets out on his way to tell his master what he heard
- But he forgets their names after being sidetracked by food
- The dog goes back and finds out their names again
- He forgets again though because he got thirsty so he had to go back
- He finds out the names again and tells his master
- They both set out to tell the dad they know the names
- Nsassi told Nenpetro his daughters names so he granted them to him
