 Congo: The Gazelle And The Leopard

  • The gazelle tells the leopard that it is dry season and they need to cut down a bush for when it rains
  • The leopard tells the gazelle to do it because he cannot go today
  • The gazelle cut down the bush and went back the next day alone
  • The leopard wants the gazelle to go to a plantation with him but the gazelle says he is sick and cannot go
  • The leopard goes to find the gazelle the next day but he is not there
  • Everyday that the leopard wanted the gazelle, he was always sick or out of town
  • The leopard had to do all the work himself
  • The gazelle went to check on the plantation and noticed how great it looked and that it was ready to harvest
  • He invites his antelope friends and other beasts to come and have a feast
  • The leopard goes to check on his plantation and notices that stuff has been eaten so he sets a trap
  • The gazelle knew that the leopard would set a trap
  • He warns his friends about it but the antelope falls for it anyways
  • All of the other friends rush off and the gazelle is not strong enough to rescue the antelope alone
  • The leopard comes by and finds the antelope
  • The antelope begs not to die
  • The leopard kills and eats him anyways to get the gazelles attention
  • The gazelle is annoyed with the leopard because he thinks that the leopard should share the food
  • The gazelle holds a meeting with all the other animals so they can get revenge on the leopard
  • The gazelle and all the others start a dance and the leopard goes to join
  • They kill the leopard
  • They skin his head
  • They send it to the leopards wife and she eats it not knowing it was her husband
  • The wife wept and cursed the gazelle
